The courses prepared by Projeto Ilha always start with research (which takes place in literature, filmography, interviews and other sources of a theoretical nature, but also in daily practical work in the classroom) and culminate in the sharing of perceptions and discoveries that are always in revision.

 

We do not claim "truths" or "methods", but we adhere to certain focuses of interest within tap dancing, such as improvisation, the relationship between musical knowledge and tap dance performance and the historical basis on which this and other knowledge rests.
