Island - Tap Search

is a metaphor for the desire to research American tap dance through whatever approaches possible, producing knowledge that will increase our understanding of the art form, deepening our knowledge of its past, and fostering, through reflection, its permanent renewal. It is a frank and democratic invitation to partner with anyone who loves tap dancing enough to want to study it. On a concrete level, we want to produce, promote and compile theoretical and artistic productions by tap dancers who give us the honor of being our partners.

it is, above all,  a declaration of love and gratitude to Tap and an invitation to tap dancing friends to share these feelings!
